Under the hood, Mechanic uses Postmark to provide email services – both incoming and outgoing.

We inherit a requirement of theirs, that you only send transactional messages, directly resulting from customer activity. The nature of a transactional message is specific to each customer, and does not require an unsubscribe link.

This means that bulk email messages, in which the same content is sent to many customers at once, are not permitted.

In the rare circumstance that an unsubscribe link is necessary, use {{ customer.unsubscribe_url }} to give the customer a way to unsubscribe.
